Higge.
We ate and we drank; we cooked meals to be thankful,
Watched shows and some movies we had seen in our childhood.
Then we sang and we danced to the swing of jazz music
Until our legs ached and we laughed till we grew sick.
We walked through the city and we hiked in the forest;
We longed to come home, that's where we felt warmest.
We read books in our blankets and took naps on the couch
All the while dreaming of what life was about.
We drank tea while we sat out, looking up at the stars
And we talked about fears and the ideas of ours.
We remembered the travels we did in the summer
Then we counted the things that we love in each other.
We played games, we shared gifts to celebrate Christmas
And we sprinkled our days with hugs and warm kisses
And love. Lots of love, expressed on our own
Which we shared with each other to create our home.
