Give me Time.

Give me time

to right the wrongs

that blur the lines

that keep us together.

Give me time

to hear the songs

that blackbirds sing

to one another.

Give me time

to bathe myself

in sunset hues

of red and purple.

Give me time

to read the tales

that clear nights tell

through starry sparkles.

Give me time

to dream of days

of moments past

and hopeful futures.

Give me time

to feel the way

that children do

through playful gestures,

again.

Give me time

to bear the fruits

of lessons learned

and planted kernels.

Give me time

to find the words

that should be scribed

to end my journal.

I need more time.
